The wireless network card functionality does not function immediately on a clean install of Ubuntu 9.04. To get the wireless to function correctly a few steps need to be taken.

You can find how to get this to work properly here

Using a the driver for XP, and an application called Ndiswrapper, wireless functionality is possible.

Note: New ndiswrapper for kernel 2.6.30 -> http://osdir.com/ml/linux-kernel/2009-06/msg07326.html
