How To Get Your Router To See The Debian Server Hostname June 6, 2009

To get router to see the hostname of the Debian machine I had to edit the following file

/etc/dhcp3/dhclient.conf

and uncomment the line send host-name to look like this:

send host-name "your_hostname"

substitute your hostname for your_hostname
